Yes, rent one, something small enough to make it easy on yourself and do local trips. Expand your trips as you get into it.
Decide what rv lifestyle will suit you. If you're a campground with hookups type or a remote camping type.
My experience is, I can do without hookups and other peoples kids running around, riding bikes and listening to outdoor tv's/radios.
After owning TT's,5th wheels, class c, class b and TC's ,
Im fortunate to have a few remote private places that I can get a 27 ft TT into but the most use and fun of any Rv type for me was a truck camper which I will be going back to someday.
