Nope. That's an assumption, and it's clear you've never owned one. For some this might be the case, but not for all of us. I can easily tow a decent sized TT. We're just not ready to be boxed into a full walled trailer yet. Some of us still like the outdoors. It's why we're in our 2nd hybrid.
I think there is a halfway opinion (just to add another opinion). A 20ft Hybrid effectively gives you 30ft of trailer by adding 2 5ft bunks on each end. This means it feels like a 30ft but tows like a 20ft. The factor about what you can tow or not tow is entirely based on manufacturer TV specs, if you use WD, where/how much you will tow it etc. But if you are in the V6 territory a Hybrid is a good way to get more trailer without the additional weight that comes with more trailer.
