What are these straps for?

(Sorry if the formatting is bad, I'm doing this in the browser on my phone.)

We've started the renos on our PUP and under the mattresses, on the frames for where the beds are, there are these black straps. Does anyone know what they're for?

    Nope. They look like poles are supposed to go under the loops? But poles under your back would be painful I would think?
