winter ascent on Mt Shasta. We were at 11,000 fet when i got hit by a massive wind blast. I weigh 240 pounds and the wind just picked me off my feet and blew me over 50' though the air and I did a self arrest with my ice axe and hung on until the blast subsided in a few minutes then beat a retreat to lower elevations.
I15 near barstow I saw a semi ahead of me get blown on its side and when the gust hit my 72 land cruiser we went from 65 to a dead stop with a stalled motor. later we passed a burned out class b on its side and semis parked facing into the wind with stake out cables running over the trailers to hold them up right.
