While the tongue weight was clearly low, what are the odds it fishtailed right where there was a parked semi? More likely distracted and drifted over thinking the truck was still moving. That happens all the time without towing trailers.

EDIT: There’s a commenter below the story in IAMICHABOD’s other thread who says she is the cousin of the surviving wife. She says the driver fell asleep. story here
