- Mjoseph320ExplorerOh....we installed a new smoke detector, CO detector and propane detector and new emergency brake cable thingy.
DH is replacing the roof vent today. Seems like there might be one more thing to do but I don't remember. He was feeling very overwhelmed at first and suggested we not take it for our long trip but as he got going on it he's the one coming up with more suggestions for things to do. - Mjoseph320ExplorerSince we purchased it three weeks ago and it was sitting for a few years before our purchase we have taken it in for a full inspection, packed the bearings, replaced the bushings (or is that backwards...this would be DHs area), sealed anything on the roof that looked like it might be a crack, replaced 4 tires, replaced the kitchen faucet with a swan neck one, bought two new batteries, bought a new hitch (blue ox), weighed it, cleaned it inside (DH will give it a bath this weekend), added our USA sticker map, removed a panel to the closet and modified to make it more accessible, replaced the valve to the fresh water hook up, replaced the electric wire that hooks up between the TV and the TT, replaced the 30 AMP plug, replaced two sets of blinds, ordered towing mirror extensions and purchased all the dishes, linens, cookware, throw rugs, outside carpet, etc. to keep it stocked, and installed a Flat screen TV.
DH was able to do most of the work except for the tires, packing the bearings and replacing the bushings (still don't know if that's packing the bushings and replacing the bearings...sorry but that confuses me lol).
We are leaving on our cross country Maiden Voyage next Friday. Buying used from a friend who was the original owner and could no longer use it due to health reasons was a huge money saver. Even with all the above expenses we are still under the budget we had set for ourselves when we were considering buying new. - rode2nowhereExplorerI mounted brand new paper towel holder in the outdoor kitchen
- WandaLust2ExplorerLippert replaced the lightweight axles Heartland installs on these NorthTrail units. The axles bent destroying all 4 tires. To save money HL used axles that were too lightwight for a 28' TT. We replaced all four ruined tires. HL refused any responsibility. THANK YOU LIPPERT!
- dwayneb236ExplorerLet's see. Got a new memory foam mattress topper for that slab they call a bed. New ottuman for the sitting area, Carpet runner so the dogs don't get hair "quite" everywhere. Got an icemaker. Love how fast it makes ice. Basic odds and ends for the trip to OK City in two and a half weeks. Can't wait.
- StclairmExplorerJust had my rubber roof cleaned, a uv coating applied, and areas that needed touching up were done as far as being resealed. Local rv store where I had it for sale for a little over a month did it for me. I thought $230 wasn't too bad. Flushed my fresh water tank which I've never really used in the two years we've owned it, flushed all the lines out and the water heater. For some reason, the winterization process left my hot water tank nasty and I drained it and bypassed it. Guess it just happens if you don't blow it out with air.

I'm gonna have to break down and buy one of them .............. - Downwindtracke1ExplorerI put in a couple of 12volt plugs, on for the TV, one under the dinette for the 'puter. That little Kreg mini pocket hole jig worked wonders again.
- mikedboydExplorerCoat hooks on worthless pocket doors in bedroom (command strip hooks screwed in, since the command strips won't stick to the wood).

Added Battery Cutoff Switch
Storage for Slinky

- pdmac1946ExplorerTook her for a four day " maiden cruise ". Bought the new TT in Feb. Checked out all systems. No major issues. Feel real good about how she fits my needs. Great to have everything brand new. Took me two days running the fan with the windows open to get the vinyl and plastic fumes out of the air. That new vehicle smell is overrated. Had a great first trip overall.
