- pdmac1946ExplorerInstalled a JevaTech external wifi antenna and repeater in order to boost the wifi signal at the rv park where I am staying this winter. I mounted the antenna to the tv antenna mast. Wow! A big difference. I checked and the repeater is putting out 15 mbps. The speed and signal is amazing. The real test will be when I drive back home from Arizona to Michigan in two weeks.
- rode2nowhereExplorermine finally thawed out enough to check for water leaks, all good there
- HeathrmExplorerConverted my trailer bedroom from 2 separate twins, to a queen size with two bunks.
- WoodGlueExplorerI bought a nice wash broom and some great RV suds to keep the Travel Trailer nice and spiffy looking!
WoodGlue - jbrowningExplorerJust got my brand new 30 gal fresh water tank. I can't wait to get the old stainless steel tank out and the new plastic one in. Hopefully most of my sand in the in the water will be eliminated.
- RVJimofOregonExplorerJust looked at it any fish spring would come quickly.
Jim - nohurryExplorerWell, my post really should start with "What have we BOUGHT for our trailer lately". You see, it is now winterized, and covered up :( we have been shopping though, and here's what is on my "Do Dad" list; Oxygenics shower head W/shut off, expandable shower curtain rod, key/mail holder, Barker 3500 VIP power tongue jack, and just today we picked up a Temperpedic 3" memory foam mattress pad. Smart shopper that she is, DW found it in for 99.99 in the returns section. Reg marked price was 249.99. :C
So all these are waiting for me to install and since we have a trip to the coast planned in two weeks I gotta get busy!! - limberyExplorerThanks, that clears it up.

Question...I'm not sure I understand the need for this extra plug?...I mean, If i had a 30amp service I wouldn't have to worry about the heater and other things blowing breakers....and since I've only got a 20amp plug at my house, I often use a 1000 watt electric heater in the trailer with no problems as long as I remember to not use anything else electrical at the same time as the heater's on...so do you have two separate 15 or 20amp circuits for this or what am I not understanding here?
If you have ever camped with a 30amp rig you know that you DO have to worry about blowing breakers, both at the service post and in the trailer, and can only use three large elec item at once- some times only two if you are running the fridge on elec also and the converter kicks in to charge.
Two reasons as far as I am concerned.
1st - our heater is 1500 watts on high and would cause the wall around the plug to feel warm after running for a while. I was not comfortable leaving the heater on high for very long for fear of fire.
2nd- Our trailer is 30 amp service and we usually run our water heater on electric when we are camped with elec service. Sometimes we would forget to switch it off and would trip the trailers 30amp breaker when using another applience like the hair dryer, coffee pot, or elec frying pan, microwave etc. Now we don't have that problem and can even plug one of those appliences into the new outlet if we are not using the heater.
In other words, it frees up one inside outlet in our trailer for use when the heater is on and we don't have to be quite so careful with our electric "sharing". The extension cord used is plugged into the campgrounds 20amp receptical and the trailers normal cord is plugged into the campgrounds 30amp receptical. Both are on seperate breakers at the post.
Barney - Aluminum_SidingExplorerGot a new 250 6.7 Turbo Diesel. Hated the old 150. Nothing wrong with with a 150 just too squirley for my 33 footer.
