what do you do if the truck needs to be towed?

DH went out this morning to do errands and the truck started but immediately died and could not be re-started. Turns out it was an EGT sensor. There was no grace period- the truck immediately died, ...

One of the reasons I drive a 21 year old diesel is because there is no electronic stuff to fail and leave me stranded. Almost anything that breaks I can fix on the road.
But when the flexplate broke, I had to have it flat bedded to a garage. The flatbed also pulled my trailer at the same time.
It was quite a load, but we got to a garage safely.
