what do you do if the truck needs to be towed?

DH went out this morning to do errands and the truck started but immediately died and could not be re-started. Turns out it was an EGT sensor. There was no grace period- the truck immediately died, and it made us very glad it didn't happen this summer, while we were exploring the back roads of Alaska. It made us wonder though, what we would have been able to do if the camper had been on the truck.
Has anyone had to have a truck towed while the camper is on it!? How would they even handle that?

  • With a tow truck ,what about all the weight on the rear axel? Would there be extra, or the same distribution front and rear as on the ground? Pus for those with 4x4 theres additional issues with a tow.

What's wrong with an articulated tow truck, especially in hilly country? :B

Or with a flat bed tow truck

That is what I was going to say, with a tow truck.
