Mine is warped in a packing pad with cardboard around it stored in my garage. Even it the campper is off the truck the tailgate is still stored. With mine have the built in step and handel and Line X it is just to heavy to be lugging around all the time taking off an on. Besides it would only be on the truck for a couple of weeks. Since we bought our camper it has been on the truck all the time except for a couple of weeks. If I really need to haul something I just hook my flatbed trailer behind the Toyota and go pick it up.
