We travel with about the same plan. Food and water for the trip and road and no definite plan except final destination.
We have had issues with CG availability at popular tourist spots during the peak vacation periods but being retired our travel is flexible.
We have a 25 footer that can weave through city streets ferreting out quilt and gun shops. But most important, we have tools and knowledge to change a TT or TV tire in remote locations. Three times this has been the difference between an annoying 20 minute delay and waiting for hours for road service to find us on some back country side road out West.
