We use summer abstinence to keep the heat down. We don't go where it is hot. Off-season camping is our friend. No, not smardaxx, but just swimming downstream when everyone else is swimming upstream. Works for us.
I have insulated our TC after the fact the best I could which works equally well against global warming as well as the coming ice age. However, it is still not nearly as good as the arctic pack/winter package/double pane windows that come with some campers.
