Ford, and other manufacturers must love all this arguing and confusion. Five pages have been used trying to answer the OP's question, "What does 11,000 lbs of towing capacity mean?" A few came close, many missed it entirely. If five pages of "Experts" cannot answer the question in a simple paragraph, it is no wonder that regular people purchase the wrong tow vehicles.
