The new ones have so much electronics the reliability advantage is gone.
They don’t math out, overall.
That statement is used by people that don't want to spend their money. You have convinced yourself of a falsehood.
The electronics on a diesel makes it less reliable? Are you serious? I love statements like yours. You believe what you post is true. Here are a few reasons why a person will spend the extra money for a diesel truck:
-Significantly better fuel economy
-Proven RELIABILITY
-climb hills that do NOT decrease an engines efficiency due to altitude
-climb hill without having to keep your pedal to the floorboard AND SUCK FUEL EVEN WORSE
-WAY Longer oil and service intervals (by far) brakes that last 10x longer due to engine braking
-getting all that money you didn't want to spend BACK when you sell it
I suppose that if a guy beats the **** out of his rigs for a living tells you his rigs don't last, you'd believe it. But I don't know of anyone with either a Duramax or a Ram that have issues with EXTREME reliability, but of course, those people don't treat their rigs like a business owner with deep pockets.
