guy I knew has a v6 s10 pickup and he never changed the oil, however, he did change the oil filter at around 8k intervals and added back a qt of oil.
a friend of mine bought the truck at 80K and was still driving it the last I heard when he moved.
do not know how long it ran, but that is not my way of caring for a vehicle.
