Best advise, is to do a drive way camp a couple times. Learn how everything works before hitting the road.
First time out, go to a close-by campground, or at least one close to a Wall Mart so you can pick up items you might have missed, or easily go home and get them.
Next trip, go a little farther and longer, then the next ... farther and longer. By the end of this year, you'll be planning trips all over the USA for next year!
Congrats on your new purchase ... and .... there is nothing better than a "happy" wife!.... the old expressions is still so absolutely true.... "If the wife ain't happy, no one is happy!".... I for see MANY happy camping adventures in your future!
