my neighbour tows a 30ft tandem travel trailer like that Jayco all over western AB and BC with a Ram 1500 5.7 V8 auto trans. The only modification he made to his truck was add a set of rubber coil spring boosters in the rear coils to transfer the weight to the heavier part of the coil. Coil springs are progessive - the first bit of travel is soft to give a better empty ride.
I'll bet you will be fine on 1 hour out camping trips.
He said 1st trip out he "informed the Missus they were not moving house and to forget loading about 1/2 of what you drug out to pack rat into the trailer..."
