As you have read, you are most likely over-capacity on your tow vehicle. But, only YOU can say if it is suitable for you. Hook up and see what it pulls like to you.
My first trip was ten days in the Ozarks with a rented 25 ft TT and a 200 hp TV. It was slow going and really slow going in the hills. We learned two things, we liked a 25 ft TT and we would need a new TV.
I assume you have experience towing a boat, so you will have some point of reference. Also a trip to the CAT scales with and without the TT will give you the max cargo and axle loads so you will have and idea of what size TV you may want to get.
