I have literally use every method suggested so far. I do not put much in the long skinny cabinets. Usually stuff I seldom need like extra TP, towels, special clothing, and back up supplies. I put very little on my counter tops when camping, and with few exceptions it fits in the sink when on the road. So far, I have never had anything to come out of the cabinets. I have some kind of box in every cabinet, which prevents stuff from bouncing around. Sometimes I will use rolls of paper towels to serve as a filler.
I use the same spring loaded rails as Buzzcut1 in the fridge. Even so, I have still had scrambled eggs on the floor a couple of times. I try to make it a habit to be the last one out of my TC, and check the latch on the fridge. If someone is with me, more often than not they do not close the door so it latches.
