What in the world to do about TERRIBLE bunkends?

i'm assuming that you're talking about the infamous Thermarest tent ends.
Dutchmen eventually dropped them and went to the traditional canvas tent ends. in fact, in the transition model year, you could could order them as an option, in lieu of the Thermarest ones.
i seriously doubt that any other brands' tent ends, will fit in place of the Thermarest ones.
because they were such a departure in shape and configuration, that i don't think other brands would work without serious modification.
