What is this dealership trying to do???
We traded in our TT to a dealership and bought a Class A MH. Now a week later, they text me, asking me where my "hitch work" is, and asking why it wasn't inside of my TT. Huh??? What is the norm? ...

I'm not sure there is any goodwill to mess up.
Here's what happened. I traded them a camper a couple of years ago to get the current one. They never asked me for the hitch, and we didn't give it to them. It was on another truck.
We traded them this camper, and the hitch was, again, never mentioned. {Different truck/different hitch, btw.} We've been gone from there and the deal for NINE DAYS. Today they asked for my hitch.
I don't see that being a goodwill issue. Our hitch wasn't mentioned on our last deal with this dealership, and it was never mentioned this time. Now, it's been over a week. We've kept everything above board, and had everything in writing to protect both parties.
