What is this switch for?

We have a 2002 Fleetwood Prowler Lynx, Northwest Edition, 20' long.
We have yet to spend a night in it but we're getting ready for a trip. We're learning lots about the trailer. Had to replace the converter yesterday. But we still don't know what this big switch is for.

Well, I tried to post an image but it's not easy. The switch is just below the sink on the front of the cabinet. It's big and says "ON" and "OFF" but nothing else. I followed the wires (Romex) but they disappeared behind the pantry wall.

  • I would image it is for the 'electric element' in water heater.
Make sure water heater has water in it before turning switch ON because heater elements need water to keep them from burning out.

IF you have a Suburban WH there will also be an On/Off Switch in outside compartment lower left corner. It has to be ON also for electric to heat water

IF you have an Atwood WH there will also be an ON/OFF Switch on back of WH Tank on cover that goes over electric element
