What is this??

I may be posting this in the wrong place, but I came across this thing today. Never seen anything like it, so I did a quick search and all I came up with is the 1988 Winnebago Spectrum 2000 motorhome. This thing looks identical to the Winnie, but it's a TT?? Homemade?? Is it worth anything?? Since they only made 93 of the Spectrums it seems strange that one would have been modified to this extent.

that does seem to ring a bell.

  • I think they used a Olds Toronado front wheel drive train
  • So the two axles shown would have been the drive wheels?
  • the side at the rear looks like it could have been motor intake or something and the "front' looks like it could have been a rear with the motor grille covered over with a piece of fiberglass?

  • That's what it looks like to me. Very strange. I was looking for a shower pan for one of the old campers I've got and came across it advertised for parts.
  • what the heck did they do, buy a replacement rear piece and tacked it on the front?

  • Thanks, I checked it out but there hasn't been any activity there.
  • Well, it certanily looks like a Spectrum 2000 converted into a TT. There is a Good Sam Group whose focus is on these:
