Our 2002 Northern Lite 10-2 CD came without a microwave installed. We would like to put one in an overhead cabinet. The opening in the cabinet is only 9 3/4 high. What make and model would be small enough? My Google searches have turned up nothing.
I realize that this isn't an answer to your question: Sometimes thinking out of the box will open up new ideas.
I spent a little time looking at the placement and size of the microwave in our camper... Lance's original installation. and I took some data just to start off.
It is a Samsung...with a revolving turntable.
It is 11" tall x 20 3/8" wide. Mounted in a cabinate over the stove hood.
In addition... it also has legs that are about 3/4" tall... with a 20 3/8" wide vent grill across the front opening created by the legs
And the front/top also has vent opening that is 20 3/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall
Note: Requirement... the microwave MUST be vented. (Thermal protection for the microwave electronics and fire prevention for the camper.)
In other words our microwave... actually requires a minimum front opening of 20 3/8" wide and 13 1/2" tall
The door data:
1.4 Watt (1400 watts) power input, 120VAC, 60 Hz (I measured it with my watt meter... the AC power input is 1482 watts) It does require a dedicated circuit with a circuit breaker with this much power input.
The Microwave door data also states: It is rated at 1000 W microwave output power.
The usable space inside the microwave is 13 1/4" wide, 13 1/2" deep and 8 1/4" tall.

Why do you care?
I hope that this will give you a better understanding of what you need to actually fit.
I would personally look at other cabinate spaces to install the microwave of my choice.
Your microwave won't be far away in a truck camper... I can prepare a meal without moveing my feet in our camper and set the table too
Good luck to you
Post pictures when you get it finished.
