A Rival from Walmart and a Magic Chef from Home Depot we returned because they were too big. A Haier looked like it might work but I couldn't find one anywhere. Finally, I found a GE (JE740DRWW) online that I thought might work, depending upon which advertised height was correct, 10.19 or 9.88.
DW found one at an Appliance Factory Outlet. The price was reduced substantially because the unit was supposedly "out of the box." The warehouse guy unwrapped it so I could measure it. It looked to be in perfect shape. As best I could tell, the height was 10.00. If I could figure out how to get it through the 9.75 high cabinet opening, it would work, I thought. So we bought it.
The installation is now partially complete and the microwave is in the cabinet. When I finish, I will have some pictures. Thanks for all your inputs.
