I have started look at vehicle pricing. Probably will not purchase anything soon though. But I like looking to get an idea of what I want well in advance.I have always been a GM/ Chevrolet guy. But I also like the looks of the new Ford 350's.I have 2 brothers that have retired from GM. The one brother tells me that Gm has problems with the newer 350HD diesels. That the Ford 350 Diesels run better. So to all of you Ford and GM owners do you have any issues with the diesel performing or running the way they should. I want a good reliable vehicle I don't have to worry about when towing or not towing.Appreciate your thoughts.By the way I really like my Duramax I bought it new and it is still a great Truck.

Repair bills over $12,000 have been reported on here.

At the campground where we are presently staying there seem to be quite a few Dodge Ram truck. I don't work for Chrysler; just an observation.

I have 18k miles on my 2014 Ram 3500 Cummins and love it. No issues yet. I test drove all of them and was ready to buy a Ford King Ranch, but once drove the Ram, that was it and I ordered it with all my specs. Ram has come a long (long!) way on the interior..without question the nicest and must plush of any truck..I drive mine everyday so that was important to me. The Cummins just sealed the deal.

That being said, I have always liked the Ford HD trucks...King Ranch and Platinum are nice...and I like the Duramax/Allison combo on the Chevy...but the interior is way dated to me (and they just redid it). Bottom line is drive and all and see what you like the best. Performance is splitting hairs as they are all incredible trucks. Good luck on your choice!

Another metric lost is that most anything 'assembled' in the USA has a large
percentage foreign 'content'...

Why the Federally mandated MSRP label now also has a 'content' line item

It does not matter anymore where things are manufactured. Most Americans have 401K plans, or some type of retirement plan. That money is highly invested in the markets. The markets depend tremendously on World Economy. So you are putting money in Americans pockets one way or another.

To me the ability to do some of my own service and work after warranty puts the RAM as number one! However all three have become very complex computer driven high tech rigs. So times are changing. Ford I just do not trust to support me 100% and GM remained lackluster for years. When RAM finally added DEF in 2013 that put them back at the top of the heap for me!
