Do you like the built-in navigation, or something that pulls it off of your smartphone? I really like the stock Ford, but that's pretty pricey. Thanks.
While I haven't seen one in person, I would suggest one of the aftermarket radios that can mirror your cell phone. I would encourage you to look really hard at this option. Google maps (I'm an Android guy) updates for FREE several times per month, ensuring that you have the most up to date maps. You can also run Waze or other GPS apps from your phone and project it to your screen.
When you look at the cost of upgrading traditional GPS systems, the irregularity with which they update and the sometimes clunky user interfaces of those traditional systems, I will never use them again. I use my phone and Google Maps for directions. Its faster, more intuitive, allows me to see restaurants, gas stations, shopping and attractions nearby, etc. Much better platform.
Does it depend on cell phone coverage?? If so it is useless for me - most of my travels are away from cell tower coverage - that is why I love my Garmin Montana - I can hike with it - take on my rzr or motorcycle and it does everything the in dash units do.
