I have had 2 of the champion 3500/4000 generators. The first one made it a week before being returned due to a bad motor. The second made it 5 months before the governor went out. Neither had enough power to operate my 13.5 BTU air conditioner (2013 Tracer 26BHS).
My brothers 1000 Honda could almost power as many things as my 3500 champions could. I will never buy any Champion product again. I am now a believer in the "you get what you pay for" philosophy in generators. I will most likely be getting a Honda 3000 or Yamaha 3000iSEB in the future.
