I like a TC because there is more availability to camp with a smaller RV than a large one. If you are looking for places to go, broaden your search to almost anywhere that suits you other than a RV park that caters to large rigs only.
Yes pavement parking and campgrounds like a squeezed in subdivision is not my idea of going places. I go on roads least traveled for the most part but don't want to avoid great natural wonders either.
I've been rather surprised by the amount of beautiful and relatively unused resources for camping along lonely roads.
Not to mention the small town places to stop and eat. Such out of the way locations that they rely mostly on the locals business. Most are great food and friendly atmosphere.
I have a buddy with a big diesel pusher. Wants to camp with me, see and experience some of what I have told him about, but he has so much gadgetry on that motorhome that it seems things always causing problems and therefore cannot get away from civilization/ repair facilities.
