Wow four pages of opinions but it all comes down to shear economics.
The vast majority of the folks buying the nearly half million TTs and 5vers every year are quite satisfied with their purchase and the 2 million tires they roll on.
Most buyers are not willing or even need to pay more for what is essentially a hobby. They would like to own a Mercedes but get along quite well with a Chevy or Ford.
There is absolutely no doubt that there are better tires, construction methods, materials and design. Brands like Airstream, Lance, Artic Fox/Nash, Big Foot and Casita to name a few always seem to get high praise; but their price keep them in a niche market and no real competition to the main stream manufacturers.
When your business model results in more orders for product than you can provide, changing it makes no sense.
