If and when they stop working you can elect to moving them the manual method. No big deal...

Can you still manually extend them if they quit? IDK how they have the motorized part of the extend set up but it seems it would strip gears if you manually pulled them in and out? Either way the power fold and extend would be the cats meow.

I've manually folded and pulled the mirrors out on mine just to see what would happen. I couldn't feel or hear any ill effects.
