What TT for a car enthusiast?

T@B makes a stand-up teardrop that you can stand in, but it's too heavy for your car. The smaller ones, like you mentioned, have attachable (stand-up-able) tents that you can use for living space and just use the "shell" for sleeping.

I don't know if any of the hard side (hi-lo) pop ups would be in your weight range. If you don't need hard sides, Livin Lite makes soft-side pop ups that might be do-able.
