Sounds like youre looking for about the same thing we are.
Look at the models with double over double bunks. Our favorite, and probably the one we'll get next year is the Starcraft Launch Ultralite 26bh:

Making up the couch every night to us is annoying and this gives the kid their own place. We're expecting our first also and figure I can make a little net to keep them from falling off the lower bunk. The bunks will make for some fun blanket forts in a few years also lol.
