We're a family of 4 with a large German Shepherd. Our TT has a 15' box. It's a place to sleep, cook and use the restroom. Otherwise, we want to be outside enjoying the places we travel. In our 60+ nights over the last 2 years, there were 2 times that the weather locked us in that it was uncomfortable.
We do plan to up-size to some of the smallest units that have a slide (20-22'), but no more. It comes down to your personal expectations and tolerances. If the question is whether or not bigger is more comfortable....sure it is! But smaller has advantages too.
