Thank you all so very much. There's a lot there to think about. Dodge Guy has touched a nerve, because we've grown to love our DP. It's just that the maintenance difference could be so substantial--just replacing the tires on the DP was close to $6000, and if anything should every happen to the engine or tranny. We have kept (and last year renewed) an Easycare extended warranty on it (we've used them since starting RVing about 12 years ago, and each one has paid for itself--another indication of maintenance costs), so maybe we'll wait until that expires (another 3 years). But then we'd have to spend $4000 to do a Remco job on the SUV (it seems the only ride my wife's spinal issues can handle). Ahh...life.
Either way, and whatever we decide, we so appreciate all of you offering your helpful suggestions and experiences. It's gratifying to know such folks still exist in this world.
