When discussing tow vehicles...

No lets not start a campaign. Members know what these terms...half, 3/4, one ton.... mean.

As far as brand names...continue to use.

Why water down everything ?

Sounds to me, too much like a peace proposal from the United Nations and we know how well these work. ;)

Keep the subs properly badged.

Their are alwich som people who can't stick to subject or will be argumentative. Let those that think it is a good idea start using the proper Terms 150-250-350 with prober weight ratings if known and we will se who wants to be helpful and who don't.

What's the Question? Do I like numbers? Yes! When it comes to Dead Presidents, the higher the better. What about 10 ton or Class 8?

Actually the F150 7700 gvwr 4050 rawr is the highest max tow package.

The F150 HD package is the 8200 gvwr with 4800 rawr.

Both are highly sought after for those that don't want or need a heavier truck.

Just the opposite...Wished I HAD read some on a forum on what one could tow with a 1/2 ton versus 3/4 (oops....er, I mean....no, I know what I'm stating)...some years back. GVWR, GCWR, RAWR, FAWR, gear ratio, etc... should, to me, be figured into the equation when purchasing a towing vehicle...most on here who know these ratings and what they mean, would almost immediately know, or find out with a little research, what TV one had if they were told certain specs...it is what it is.

If a newbie comes on board, tells us they have a 1/2 ton , or 3/4's "whatever", then we should just go from there and offer best advice we can.

Some will tell you, no matter what "specs" you give..."sure you can tow it", other's may say, "well, everyone else does it, no problem"...so I really don't think the post will be anymore civil if you leave out "brand names" or "size truck"....one will bicker with another over GVWR versus rear axle rating or that GCWR doesn't mean anything and on...so, I still think, as in this "recommendation post", you would still see some disagreeing with others...and being human, much won't change...
