When does a Pickup become a " Historical Vehicle"?

Saw this the other day. It is a F100 Traytop( image quality is not that good) but it had " historical vehicle" plates, by expanding the photo you can see them. What is your definition of an historic...

Grandad had a 68 Imperial. One heck of a nice well built car.

Father nearly bought a 1953 Cadillac mint condition . One unusual one here is the prewar and WW2 Utes based on Chevrolet , Buick, Pontiac or English vehicles.
