Where can I find the vehicle ID number on a ledger trailer

I have been given a older Ledger travel trailer that was abandoned on my brother-in-law's property. I do not have a title so I have to go through the legal system to gain legal ownership of the traile...

Yes Robsouth that is the trailer. Thanks for adding the photo for me. Yes I will probably have to spend a day at the DMV and I hope you are correct in thinking they still have the info on file concerning the last registered owner.
