Where can I find these?

Dr. Smith, No I haven't seen the trailer in person. But I've seen a ton of pics. It's really clean. I only put a down payment on it. He'll get the rest of the money when I get there and test it.
He had it listed at 17 ft. I looked it up and there are 3 models that year at 17 ft.
The RV place closed at 5 today. So I'll have to go back tomorrow.

QUESTION: If I get AAA, will that cover my trailer too? And how much will it cost annually to insure it?

The work you need done does not have to be performed by an RV dealer. IMO, a good trailer shop will likely do it better and possibly cheaper.

But...surely he knows the SIZE??? Isn't there something on the Title? Casita only ever put out a 13 and a 16 footer; there may be some trim differences within those sizes, but size is pretty much what the "models" boil down to, towing-wise.

The seller doesn't know the model. But it doesn't have a shower/bathroom. bed & bunk at front, bed & bunk along the side opposite the sink/stove/frig. And dining area in the back.

I am either going to "try" and put a bunk over the dining area so i can remove the table and one if not both seats so I can take a dresser with me and my potty. or I will put a curtain in front of it like that bed is in another room. it just seems like a waste of space otherwise.
the bed & bunk across the side, I want to build shelves to hold my Backwoods Home anthologies and a few collectibles (these will stay packed until I get to a stopping place for awhile). the bed/bunk in the front will hold my slot machine and stereo.
and somehow, someway, I will put a shelf all the way around, 20 inches from the ceiling and roughly 15 inches wide to put my favorite Lego city items on (again, will have to not be moving).
I can envision all this. making it happen may be an entirely different matter. lol

Yes, it'll still be a rough ride; maybe even more so with W/D, which stiffens things up even more. Suspension components on most trailers are designed for stability, not passenger comfort. Casitas are no exception to that rule.

Which model is it, by the way? All Casitas come with 3500 pound axles, even the smallest. Which must be REALLY stiff/bouncy!

The "total gross" you are referring to is the combined weight of the trailer and truck!

We have an 86 Toyota 4x4 PU with the 22RE 4 cyl engine, and I pulled our pop up for years with it. It was never happy going up any grades and I often found myself gearing down to 2nd gear and 25mph. The 4x2 Toyota PUs had more power due to the fact that it didn't have all the 4WD mechanicals to push around so if you are indeed a 4x2, you should be ok with the little trailer.

I too highly recommend you don't keep your fur kids in the trailer while traveling...might be a little crowded in the cab, but they will handle the trip much better.

And when I get to Cali, the guy who painted my tailgate will be tasked to paint my trailer. It will be called The Maggot, Marvin the Martians space ship on one side and KISS on the other.
I can't count how many times I was rear ended in Fresno. But when Marvin and K9 were painted on, not a single accident since. :)

I have a fiberglass trailer very much like yours, and I'm here to advise you very strongly AGAINST carrying any living thing you care about inside your Casita. Even bigger trailers are pretty awful to ride in; and I can't imagine a more miserable ride than in one of these lightweights. I can't even get to a destination with the graham crackers for the s'mores intact, the bouncing and jarring being what it is in the trailer I sometimes refer to as "Skip" for the way she follows me down the road.

Please carry the animals somewhere in the tow vehicle...even the bed beneath the cap will be a more comfortable ride!

Awesome. There is an RV dealer near me. I imagine they will have the brake controller and 7 way plug and whatever wiring I'll need. I think I'll head over there now.
Oh, one more question: the seller said I could use a small gen that is bolted down (tongue maybe or roof?) so my air conditioner can be on for my animals when I'm driving.

The trailer weight is 2200 lbs, there will be some mods inside but no where near 3500 lbs worth. So I'm good on that. I don't think I have 3000 lbs worth of stuff to put in the bed so I should be good on that too. There is a Flying J near enough that I can go and weigh it when I'm ready to leave.

And yes, I do have a shell on my pickup. All my worldly possessions will be hauled in the back of my truck. Only thing that will be in the trailer are my babies.
I had heavy duty shocks installed on the back because I used my truck in Cali to do shows and then loaded it down when I moved back to NC.

You will need a 7 pin plug and a brake controller (Like a Prodigy or other Tekonsha product). If you have a U-Haul near you, they could probably install both. A "good" trailer sales should have a service dept. that could install those for you. If all else fails try Camping World.
