- tatestExplorer IIRoute 66 RV in Claremore, OK has TT rentals. AAARV in Oklahoma City has TT rentals. H&K in Columbus, Kansas has RV rentals. Scotty's in Tulsa had rentals, but he retired from the business a couple years ago. There was a dealer in SE Michigan (Ypsilanti, I think) that had rentals about 10-12 years ago, but I long ago deleted my link to that one. I has found another one in southern Mississippi.
Point is, TT rentals are most likely to be dealers, often small dealers selling only towables, located in places where people go camping. Usually they are doing rentals to get customers interested enough to do some buying. Big national or regional RV rental companies are mostly only renting motorized RVs, it is an easier business to manage and make profitable, and there is much more demand for hop in and drive than there is for learning how to deal with a trailer.
I think you might find listings of rental dealers and rental operators at gorving.com. That's where I found some when I was looking several years ago.
Check maybe:
Daly RV in Goldsboro
Howard RV in Wilmington
Wilmington RV in Wilmington - ShavanoExplorerKeep it civil, folks.

I had 2002 F-150 that came from the factory with an extra leaf spring, I do not know why but that is what the window sticker said.
It had a "low emissions vehicle" sticker and a small 6 cylinder engine rated at 200 hp.
We rented a 25ft Edge TT, about 6000 lbs for 10 days in the Ozarks. On the flat it would run at 60 to 65 mph but you had to play the gas to keep it from down shifting. Once we got to the hills the top speed was 50 to 55 mph.
It was slow going but we learned a lot about towing and TTs.
My grandson still drives the beast with over 230,000 miles on it. - patchelectExplorerMy wife and I are in the same boat. I've looked on RVShare and found a number of available units within striking distance of where we live and plan on getting really serious looking after the first of the year. We're not looking for much, maybe 15-17'. We used to boat for decades so the concept is nothing new, but the venue surely is. My intended TV was set up with the necessary brake controller and extra cooling and the differential ratio is favorable so I'm not concerned about the tower. My concern is more the towee and how he can handle the tandem arrangement of a mobile condo dragging behind me!
- boosTTExplorerAs others said... some campgrounds have rentals. Otherwise try craigslist.

Check the payload rating on your LX470. Depending on year and options it could be as low as 1100lbs.rbpru wrote:

We discover our truck had the weight capacity but the 200 hp motor was too small for the TT we wanted.
Good luck
Out of curiosity what vehicle did you find too small?
I have a Lexus LX470 - same as a Toyota Land Cruiser.
It has a 230hp V8 Engine at 320 lbs-ft of torque. 4.3:1 axle. - myredracerExplorer IISome CGs have TTs on their property that they rent out. We stayed in one at a CG in Or. once and that was what made us decide we just had to have a TT. No need to have a tow vehicle or to worry about other things related to towing. Google will find some of these CGs.
