- campn4walleyeExplorerWe have a small plastic basket (dollar store) that's about 10" tall and 8" wide. We put a small grocery bag in it and throw it out as it's filled a couple times a day.
It's small enough to fit on the counter behind our sink. Takes up no room. - s1214ExplorerSomewhere I picked up a plastic do-hickey that slips over a cabinet door or drawer and holds a plastic grocery bag wide open. When full it goes into a cinch sack garbage bag that hangs on a jack outside the door. The other side of the door is for returnables.
- Wanderin_foolExplorerI use a mop bucket with grocery/Walmart plastic bags. That way i have a pail in case I need water quick for a fire, ect. When its full, I sneak to the next camper and throw them under it. ( A few shots of rum)
- JimBollmanExplorerWe found a plastic container that is about 8 inches in diameter and 14 inches tall with a flat side so it can sit closer to the wall. it fits nicely on the floor with most of it under the overhang created by the frig. I put a large round piece of velcro hooks on the bottom so it sticks to the carpet and doesn't fall over. Just the right size for the plastic grocery bags (actually a little too small but when you pull the bag out it settles to the bottom for the last few things you want to throw in).
If we are in one place for more than a day (very seldom) we hang a larger bag on the jack bracket so we don't have to make as many trips to the dumpster. - dadwolf2ExplorerAfter 3 glasses of wine I don't care! We have 2 small wastebaskets under the kitchen sink for trash and one for recycling. When that gets full and we are boondocking, we put the smaller bags into a much heavier mil trash bag and it goes to the back of the truck until we find proper disposal.
Now the spare TP has it's own shelf I made DW. - AnEv942NomadInside camper we also have a small waste can that has a lid. Bag inside of it. We often 'hang a bag' but its to dump the waste can bag until we get somewhere to off load it. I use a tree or tallest bush I can find, usually a bit away from where were camped, though have used ladder. Hopefully it smells better than our camper when were in bear country. Nothing else it might serve as an early warning alarm :)
- pjay9ExplorerHere's one: Where do you keep the spare TP and PT? It's got to be the wine.
- pjay9Exploreruse your plastic market bags.
I have a ss version sits under the refer overhang out of the way and useful. I can sit in the dinette and make baskets with my orange peel!!! HEHE!! Trapped me for sure...time for more wine! - jimh406Explorer IIIEngineer or not, it seems like people who design lots of products don't bother to use the products they design. It's kind of a shame that there isn't a planned place for a wastebasket since we all need one.
- Reddog1Explorer III wonder if posting about using a wastebasket is considered Off Topic? :h :B
