Where is the converter on Kustom Koach

Just bought a 2005 Travelaire Kustom Koach KT297. I can't find the converter. The previous owner thought it was the panel under the fridge but that is just a Progressive Dynamics breaker panel. I've searched through and behind every cupboard. The original sales order sheet lists a Progressive Dynamics PD9145. Trailer manual is no help so I'm hoping someone out there will be.
  • Thanks all, I did find it located under the fridge and hidden behind the furnace ducting. Hard to get at though if I have to do anything with it.

I like the idea of hooking up to shore power and see if you can't hear the fan running. If there is a vent below the fridge it may be behind that. The fan has to pull in fresh air from somewhere...

This unit also has an optional add-on feature called a TCMS which will turn this into a smart-mode charger unit. You would see some good benefits having this option if you don't already have it.

Google says "The Charge Wizard is a microprocessor-controlled system that constantly monitors the battery voltage and use to ensure a rapid; yet, safe, recharge. The Charge Wizard can select one of three charging voltages and one of four operating modes depending on the condition and use of the battery."

BestConverters would be a good place to purchase the TCMS add-on microprocessor if you don't already have one...

  • It should be behind where your breakers are or very close to it. I my old trailer it was under the fridge and it usaully has a vent in front of it to cover it to draw air for cooling. you should hear it hum when pluged in

This is what a PD9145 looks like. Surely something this large would be easy to locate... Perhaps behind the Power Distribution Panel.. There is a large fan on the side of this unit. Maybe you can hear it running when the unit is powered up with shore power connection.
