Where to sell a tow vehicle

Just FYI - for anyone who is interested...

My truck sold, and I got the most interest (real interested parties, excluding scammers) from Craig's List, and nearly as many from Auto Trader.

Didn't get any comments from the other sites.

Interesting... AutoTrader is the one I've used for years, and never had a problem like that before. This is my first time trying the others.

watch using the auto trader one. I listed a car there ONCE and never again. The scams where hot and heavy and persistent and auto trader infiltrated every thing on my computer and sold my ad info to millions more. Took almost a year to get rid of it all.:R

It took two months to sell my truck on CraigsList. If you have it priced competitively, you just need to the right set of eyes to see the ad.

So I've tried all the different suggestions - escapees, irv2, auto trader, craigslist, etc...

So far I've had 2 prospective buyers from Craig's List, 1 scam from Craig's list, 1 scam from Auto trader, and no leads from anywhere else.

It'll be interesting to see which one works in the long run.

It's a "no brainer" for somebody like yourself - in So.CA!!..:W

If it's clean and running good.......

Craigslist - the buyers will be tripping over each other!

Auto/truck Trader would be a second (same time) choice,

Higher demand for (clean) pickups - no matter what the mileage.

SUVs a bit tougher with high miles.

"Unusual" TV? - no big deal - same two.

When I listed my toad for sale the price was higher than book because of the towing equipment. It would have been a steal for an RV'er wanting a ready to go toad. I was really hoping to sell it to an RV'er.

What I quickly found out trying to sell it locally in Florida was potential buyers would see the out of state plates on it when they came out and for them that meant an additional 500.00 to register it. So the young family in need of a second car the additional 500 was a deal breaker for them.
