If you have the lower gear you won't need to put your foot to the floor! :R And as you know, all vehicles have torque management systems within the ECM so if you put your foot to the floor it will de-fuel the engine to protect the drive-train. But if someone wants to beat their $56,000+ vehicle I guess you would have a valid point maybe.

4X4 I'm not arguing for the 4:10, just making a point that the 4:10 will tow it better then the 3:42. Just like a big block will tow better then a small block or diesel over gas. Can the 3:42 tow his trailer, yes. Will the 4:10 tow it better yes it will. The question becomes does he want that extra security, that's all.
