well, I am down to just over 1/4 tank left on 2015 Ram 3500
had taken truck in to dealer for a look at the exhaust brake. he quoted me 35.00 for each 2 1/2 gal containers.
stopped by Wal-Mart. SuperTech 7.88 Blue Def is 11.97. can I use the Wal-Mart brand DuperTech without warranty problems
There have been reports that some dealers have denied (or attempted) warranty claims on DEF system repairs if the owner admits to using non MOPAR DEF. The owners manual does not require the use of MOPAR DEF. But that does not mean you'll have an easy time of it if your dealer is an a**. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I have used one 2.5 G from them with no problems and several of the Blue. I have recently started using the pumps at the truck stops with no issues at all, for around $2.75 per gallon. - bbaker2001Explorerwell, I am down to just over 1/4 tank left on 2015 Ram 3500

OK the GM couldn't answer my question about their supply chain for the bulk DEF. So I reached out to their Facebook page and here is the answer.

Thanks for the tip... I just changed the oil and I always fill the DPF as part of my oil change.

Dumb question guys.... I have only used DEF from jugs. When buying DEF at the pump how do you know when the tank is full before it overflows? Is there a handle on it like a fuel pump that automatically stops?
It's just a mini me of a regular pump handle. It clicks off the same. I have now filled at Loves and Pilot and both nozzles were clean LOOKING.
Just a FYI towing at 75mph in head cross winds 32,500# combined I got 225 or so miles per gallon use of DEF.
What MPG were you getting of diesel?
Unless it was around 2-3, there is something wrong.
DEF usage is pretty much dependant on fuel usage. The more diesel you use, the more DEF you use.
I think it was around 7mpg. I will look at my figures again. I think it's close. - nevadanickExplorerI have went throgh countless containers of DEF since 2011 in a pickup, SUV and 2 motorhomes and have never had a DEF quality issue. I have used Terracair, Peak, Walmart brands, sometimes in gallon jugs but most in 2-1/2 gal jugs. In my opinion the dealers that are calling you out on poor quality DEF are incompetent, unscrupulous or both.
