Which brand of def fluid.
Was talking to the commercial truck guy at a ram dealer and he said they recommend using mopar brand def fluid in the cummins hd diesel.true or false.

Contaminated as in what? The pumps have filters on them (Flying-J and Pilot anyway). The only other thing I would worry about would be water in the holding tanks maybe. The DEF in an underground tank will be fresher than from a container. Heat is the what degrades DEF so unless the containers are in an area below 65* they will start to degrade.
Dirt would be the big thing as it will clog the injector not sure what effect rain or ground water would have on DEF. Also I have no idea what size holding tank they are running but the larger the tank the lower the effect.
