I've always bought the Peak Blue DEF because its been the cheapest in my area. But now Advanced Auto Parts is marketing their own brand and its about $2 cheaper. I agree with the notion that DEF is such a super small part of the overall cost of ownership and there's no point in squabbling over a dollar or 2.
FWIW, DEF has no real effect on any important powertrain/drivetrain function. Yes, in order for your computer to be happy and everything to work in sync, the DEF system needs to function correctly. But the DEF junk is basically all the same enough across all brands that it doesn't matter. And if you come to that point where the DEF system is giving you trouble, well there's an answer for that problem too.
edit: Instead of the phrase "DEF junk" above, I originally chose to the use the phrase "DEF cr-ap" but without the dash. The system edited it with 4 asterisks, as if it were a dirty word. What the heck???? Why be so overly sensitive and PC? If RV.net had bathrooms, I think I can see how that arrangement would be.
