BTW that 10,000 miles includes towing a 6000#+ boat to the lake Eire 40 to 60 miles round trip two to three times a week May through October.
As far as how much DEF my truck uses it's right on what the book says.
If your 6000 lb boat is putting an appreciable load on your diesel truck that would impact your DEF usage then you need your truck checked.
If you're getting 10,000 miles with a tank of DEF then you're saving about 1/2 what I figured. In about 100,000 miles you're saving about $25.
