Was talking to the commercial truck guy at a ram dealer and he said they recommend using mopar brand def fluid in the cummins hd diesel.true or false.

In defense of Chicken Little's everywhere, I will comment that there has been more than one Ram owner reporting that when they go to their dealer after having one of the several DEF codes lighting up the dash display is being told they had bad DEF and repairs not covered by warranty. Now we all know this is BS as DEF is DEF, no matter what color jug or large tank it's pumped from, but when your dealer is not supporting your warranty, it kind of leaves one out in the cold. And I understand replacing the DEF system costs several thousand dollars.
