The manual says to use frame support which runs length of trailer just inside tire.
Guys, read what the OP posted from his owner's manual, same thing that my owner's manual says. Frame heights vary, I need to crib a couple layers of 4x4's under my bottle jack to get the height I need at the frame, so I have enough extension in the jack to get the tire off of the ground.
Every ones manual says that. If manufacturer said it's okay to jack under the axle, some people would jack in axle center to lift whole trailer.:E Using under spring perch, or near u-bolts will not cause harm, and only needs to lift about an inch or two. You have to do a lot of lifting of the frame, before tire clears the ground. If you are actually raising the whole trailer for service, yes, use the frame, but not necessary to just change a single flat tire.
